Following the release of his third studio album “Aftërlyfe” in early 2023 - Yeat would head out to Wireless Festival in London, to give his biggest and best performance yet. Although being on in the day it was like he was the headliner. His set would seemingly already start a new promotion with the text “bigger then everything” appearing on the screen, as well as being spotted on the side of buses in London for the days to come.
A month later a single titled “bigger thën everything” would release. Despite the BNYX production and Cole Bennett directed video on the lyrical lemonade channel the single did not take off and wouldn’t be pushed any further.
On September 14, we would get confirmation of the first official Drake and Yeat collab with ‘IDGAF’ being used in the ‘NOCTA GLIDE’ trailer. The track would release on Drake’s album ‘FOR ALL THE DOGS’ and go on to be one of the most streamed tracks on the project.
Yeat would be at the biggest point of his career so far, following the release and success of the highly anticipated Drake collab ‘IDGAF’. With this momentum built it was the perfect time to start the rollout for his next project. Throughout November, teaser trailers would be released on the @lyfestylecorporation Instagram reflecting the futuristic world portrayed through the eery voiceovers and A.I animation. Yeat would further describe the theme of the album as a “dystopian society” and that people would have no idea what ‘2093’ is “going to sound like”.
Rollout would continue after the New Year with the slogan “2093 IS COMING” being projected onto various historical landmarks across the world. Yeat would return to Instagram on January 31 with a post hinting at a February release date whilst flexing his new crazy “2093” chain by Alex Moss as he travels the globe. The slides revealed he had been in the studio with Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) and on FaceTime with Drake. A Future feature would also be teased on his Instagram stories and the album would seemingly be getting closer through more posts on the Lyfestyle account.
Days before officially being posted, a mysterious 400 yard crop circle depicting ‘2093’ appeared on a Kansas farm and would strategically be posted on the r/aliens subreddit in order to gather more publicity. Hours after the official post, Yeat would reveal the album cover and that ‘2093’ will be releasing at midnight.
Over the weekend, Zack Bia posted a video of himself and Yeat walking down the streets of Tokyo to the sound of ‘Breathe’. This would massively help the song get traction as the video went viral on TikTok from the sound and funny video showing Yeat let down his serious persona. The same day, Yeat would release the first ‘2093’ music video - ‘Riot & Set it Off’, revealing at the end ‘2093 PHASE 2’ is about to release with 2 added tracks: ‘As We Speak’ feat. Drake & ‘Never quit’. To push the album even more ‘2093 PHASE 3’ would be available days later exclusively on 2093.shop for $4.99 with an extra 4 tracks. More music videos would release for the songs ‘U Should Know’ and the biggest hit from the album ‘Breathe’. These more high budget visuals would further help set up this futuristic world for the album, as Yeat continues to evolve his music and his brand.
